Dancing the Month Away

For us, the month of March is a month of Irish dance.  The past two Saturdays we’ve been at Irish festivals where she performed with her dance school.  Next Saturday is the St. Patrick’s day parade, which is how Savanna got interested in Irish dance when she was just three.

As I wrote last year, following her interest in Irish dance has been surprising.  I never imagined my girl in a wig and make up at nine.  But here we are.  She loves performing.  She shines when she takes the stage.

  1. These are beautiful! We have some friends who has all three daughters in Irish dance, and just love it. It's kinda funny to see them in the curly wigs because they all have stick straight hair. But they have a really good time doing it.

Funny how much Irish dance has caught on now—growing up, we never heard of it and now it seems everyone has someone involved.

  2. In the topmost photo, I almost feel like you're getting time-travel view of how Savvy will look when she's much older. It's such an adult visage…
