139 : 365 Pumpkin Dentistry

Our pumpkins have been sitting on the porch all month.  Their day finally came.

After we cut the four teeth that we’d drawn in the pumpkin’s smile, Atticus said, “I wanted more teeth. Here. And here.”

Uh.

We asked our neighbor for some toothpicks and I worked some magic on the teeth.

Yes.

138 : 365 Tiny

Today is one of those days that ladybugs are flying everywhere.  (Why do they do it?)

We caught this one for Augusta.  That is her tiny, two and a half year old finger.  (I think the ladybug survived the meeting.)

137 : 365 Anne

One of the best decisions I made about this second 365 Project was taking Sundays off.  I like leaving the camera on the shelf one day a week.  I also like going back to find gems like this one – my niece at my brother’s wedding rehearsal.  She is such a good sport about having her photo taken – and has been since my first 365 Project three years ago.

136 : 365 Looking Up

365 Project Note: I’ve been thinking about sameness. How much sameness is okay when you are posting a photo everyday? The fact is: my life involves a lot of repetition.  Walks, playgrounds, kids, coats, shoes, Rice Krispies, apples, bedtime. The repetition doesn’t bother me usually. I enjoy the way the kids love the same playground as much today as they did yesterday.

(But, there is a part of me that wonders as I’m posting if more of the same makes you yawn. “Oh yes. More cute kid with leafy bokeh.”)

134 : 365 At the Ready

A neighbor said to him, “You look like a firefighter.”

He said, “I am a firefighter.”

365 Project Note: Today is the first day since this beginning of September that I’ve posted a photo of the day ON the day I took it. Feels good.

(I still haven’t posted all my days. I decided to post today’s because I started to loose steam.  I didn’t want that! I love this project.)
