54: Leaving the Camera at Home

We go to Light Up Night every year and every year I bring my camera. This year I was considering leaving it at home but wasn’t sure if I should. I’ve never gotten great photos in years past but I like having some photos of the event. Right before we left, I picked up my camera to take it and realized I’d forgotten to charge the battery. I put it away.

It was nice not to bring it this year and thanks to a free photo booth we got a few pictures anyway.

50: Bedtime Giggles

When I was posting a photo from every day of the year, some days I would be putting the kids to bed and realize I hadn’t gotten a photo for the day. I would ask the girls to help me out. In exchange, they got to stay up a little later.

When I looked back on that year of photos, some of my favorite were from these bedtime shoots. Here’s one of the first bedtime photos.

Tonight, they were already playing together in their pj’s. I got out my camera and they got the giggles.

They loved this photo of their bee-u-ti-ful feet.

Seeing it just made them laugh harder.

It’s time for bed now. Good night.

49: “Why don’t we go to Blue Slide?”

The weather was warm and windy this morning. I told Atticus we were going outside to play. He said, “Why don’t we go to Blue Slide?” It’s his favorite playground. It is home to a huge blue slide. If you ride in a piece of cardboard, it is a much faster ride.

Augusta went down the big blue slide by herself and then said, “Again! Again!”

Augusta enjoyed more than just the slide.

We went walking after being at the playground for awhile. The wind and leaves were blowing.

I love this one of my little ones chugging up the hill together.

My boy…
