72: Family Photographs in the Park + some action shots

The original date for this family’s shoot was on the Friday of hurricane Sandy week.  It was rainy and cold.  We decided to skip the winter coats and umbrellas and reschedule.  The day that we chose could not have been nicer.

I was glad I had lots of practice with taking photos of my own kids in action.  This guy was full of energy and I loved capturing some of that energy in their photos.

70: Speedy Delivery!

The house I grew up in was a half mile off the road.  We had cats, dogs, horses and even pigs.  We had privacy and space.  But what did I want as a kid?  This: the ability to walk house to house and deliver candy for a fundraiser.

On a Technical Note: This is a panning photo. I moved the camera slightly while using a slow shutter speed to capture the action. Something that I really like about this photo is that both girls are in focus because they were going the same speed.
