What are the little hands around you doing?
I usually photograph the faces of my those dear to me. My second choice would be hands.
This week try it: photograph hands you love.

It was time for her beloved stuffed duck to be washed. She waited loyally by the washer until it was done.
I love watching her stretch when she wakes up from a nap. So, when I heard her waking cries, I reached for the camera. I hoped for her short little baby arms stretching up over her head. She didn’t do that, but I still couldn’t resist a few shots of her fresh from sleep.
Moments later, her big brother entered the room with his usual enthusiasm.
I just wrote about jumping, and this seemed like a good opportunity for some mid-air fun. I liked the photo above, especially his arm, but I didn’t think the camera angle was low enough to show off the jump.
Hmmmm.
I had to move the bed rail off the bed so I could get low enough to get this one. When I posted this photo in black and while yesterday, I didn’t really know if it was the best choice. But, since it was Friday, I just made a choice and posted it. Above is the color version of yesterday’s photo.
A few days ago, I posted a macro shot I took with a 100mm macro lens. For these photos, I used a 20mm lens.
(Those are my three lenses: 20mm, 50mm and 100mm.)
More about this one tomorrow…
We went to Phipps Conservatory today and these little darlings were everywhere.
Since I’ve been including my lens information with all my photos, I have noticed that it’s almost always the 50mm. I decided to change lenses before leaving today. This kind of photo is where the 100mm shines.
I didn’t do a lot of editing but I thought I’d include the image as it was straight out of the camera:
